This policy explains how PatentMechanics LLC (“Patent Mechanics”, “we”) handles personal information on patentmechanics.com, in the Patent Mechanics app and through its API and MCP server.

What we collect

• Demo requests: your name, company, work email and any message you send through the request form.
• Accounts: name, work email and company of each user, and the API keys issued to them.
• Use of the app: your questions, the answers returned, and product events (for example, which suggested search you opened) so we can improve the product.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type and request logs needed to run and secure the service.
• Visits and email links: pages viewed and links clicked on this website and in the app, measured with our own cookieless analytics. Links in our emails may include a short reference code so we know which messages are useful.

How we use it

To provide and improve the service, respond to demo and access requests, keep the service secure, and comply with the law. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use third-party advertising or tracking scripts.

Your questions and answers

What you ask can reveal confidential plans. Prompts and answers are never used to train machine-learning models, ours or anyone else's. Conversations and product events are deleted automatically after 90 days.

Service providers

We use a small number of providers, each only for the purpose listed:

• Google Cloud (United States): hosting, search infrastructure and language models (Vertex AI).
• Amazon Web Services: storage of demo-request submissions.
• Cloudflare: network delivery, security and bot protection.
• Microsoft: delivery of sign-in and account emails.

Cookies

The app sets only the cookies it needs to keep you signed in and to protect your account. This website sets no cookies, and its visit measurement stores nothing on your device.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to production systems is limited to the founder and protected by strong authentication.

Your choices

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information at any time by emailing rahul@patentmechanics.com. We respond within 30 days.

Changes

If we change this policy, we update the date above. Material changes are announced to account holders by email.
